Is there such a thing as an ideal wardrobe for a woman? Yes and no, it depends on the particular woman. I do believe that there are certain pieces all women should have in their closet for diversity in outfits. Not a capsule wardrobe, but a variety of garments so you can make more than one outfit with one garment.
Now, this all depends on your style personality, budget, etc.. All wardrobes should not and will not be the same. Who wants to go around looking like somebody else, not I said the duck!
In the age of all the popularity of the fashion influencers, its easy to get caught in the shiny object syndrome. Wanting to buy everything that looks hot on the girls on the photos on IG/Pinterest is ok, but you can get lost in that.
So how can I show you what the ideal wardrobe for a woman is without you not catching a case of the sameies? Simple, apply your own style personality to the ideas I show you. You should be always doing that anyway.
My hope is that you use these looks and change colors, patterns, fabrics/materials to match your jeuge and slay the girls proper. One of the main keys to having a bomb wardrobe is having statement pieces that are unique to you.
You can copy a look I have styled from the roota to the toota but I hope it is a reflection of you.
Quality VS Quantity
Having a closet full of quality pieces is ideal, but sometimes if you are on a budget, that just may not be an option to be spending a whole lot of money on clothing.
So if you have some good quality pieces that can be worn with multiple outfits, you are in some good shape. Very much like a capsule wardrobe however, you can add more to your wardrobe when the opportunity presents itself if you not trying to be minimal.
If you have a closet full of worn or outdated clothing, please do yourself a favor and start to purge. Having a lot of clothes is one thing, but if they are all old and dusty looking pieces, they serve no purpose, get rid of them Sis!

You need a cute flat…
Not everyone is a fan of heels, I am not one of those people, but having a flat is always good to have. For any job or event that you may be on your feet for most of the day, I think flats are essential. A cute loafer, as shown above, is a good choice to start with in regards to flats and is pretty versatile.
You need a cute sweater…
Just because it gets cold doesn’t mean you cannot still be cute! Also just because its cold, it doesn’t mean you have to be dull-looking either. A cute bright colored sweater in your wardrobe should get some pretty good cost per wear. This can be worn before it gets too cold in the colder states or may even year around if you’re in the South. A cute look for a festival/carnival date in the Fall.
You need a dark-colored jean…
What’s a wardrobe without a dark-colored jean? Dark-colored jeans are one of the most versatile pieces you can invest in. They can easily be dressed up or down and paired with a lot of different tops. I would advise making an investment when you purchase a dark jean as sometimes cheaper ones can fade quickly.
I am not saying spend hundreds of dollars, a good Levi jean works. You also have to make sure you wash dark jeans with care, or else no matter how much you pay, they will fade. This is a cute look for a night out!
You need a cute knee-high boot…
A cute knee-high boot looks sexy on all women! Its a perfect way to get your sexy back. Knee-high boots can be worn year-round, but most like to pull them out in the fall/winter months. You really do not have to get to fancy with knee-high boots, a simple black pair works.

You need a blazer…
Blazers are soooo on fire right now! They are all over the runways at the time of this post. But I honestly do not think they are going anywhere anytime soon. A blazer is another one that can be dressed up or down and paired with many different types of garments.
You don’t have to spend a lot of money on it either, you can easily go to a thrift store and buy a man’s blazer for the cheap-cheap. This is a cute look for a corporate hottie!
You need a all white button up shirt…
You can never go wrong with an all-white button-up shirt. You can wear it with almost anything and it can be dressed up or down. There is a certain sexiness to an all-white button-up on a woman as well. This look here is cute for a happy hour with your girls or a movie date with BAE!
You need a red heel…
I have to admit, this is a little old school, but I know its still very effective to have a red pump. Ladies, it has been proven that men love red, so wearing it in any fashion around them works in your favor.
Even if not for a man, you have to admit a red heel always adds sex appeal to a look. This little number here would be perfect for a concert or maybe an indoor event where your shoes can be seen and get the shine they deserve.
You need a knee-length skirt…
You never know when you will need a skirt. You may need it for a job interview, a wedding, or maybe even an event at a church. They are always good for work as well. However you wear it or where you can keep it simple like this skirt here. I like this look for a stylish girl working at a magazine or a major fashion house’s office.
